Abstract Submissions
Submissions for the 2025 conference are now closed
We want to extend our thanks to those who took the time to submit an abstract to our annual conference. We recognize the time, thought, and dedication that go into each submission, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to advancing the field. This year, the volume and quality of submissions were unprecedented, resulting in the difficult decision to decline 70 abstracts — a significant increase from previous years. While this made for a challenging review process, it also reflects the remarkable growth and engagement of our community.
To support prospective abstract submissions, we’d like to share some guidance and feedback based on this year’s review process:
- First, provide critical content in your abstract. If results are pending or missing, the abstract loses value.
- Second, ensure that your research has gone through appropriate ethics approval, especially when involving vulnerable populations.
- Third, cite an evidence base and methodology that support your conclusions.
- Fourth, submit an abstract that is less likely to compete directly with other submissions. We strive to present material on a wide variety of topics each year.
- Finally, pay attention to the conference theme.
Guided by these recommendations, we trust you will continue to help make our annual conference stronger each year.
Thanks again for your work. We hope to see you in Montreal!
